Childbearing rates

Total fertility rate represents the number of children that would be born to a woman if she were to live to the end of her childbearing years and bear children in accordance with current age-specific fertility rates.

Based on the statistics published by the World Bank, since 2000 Colombia fertility rates have followed a tendency, which is approximately 2.03 children per woman. Furthermore, the tendency is decreasing in little quantities, because women are becoming more independent, childbirth and pregnancy complications, disabilities and sexual transmitted diseases are increasing in developing countries like Colombia. In addition, Colombia is ranked by the CIA World Factbook in place 115 among 224 countries evaluated, keeping the same position from the last year.On the whole, Colombia´s fertility rates can affect all businesess, generating bad outcomes by the fact thatColombia´s childbearing rates are low in contrast with other countries; likewise, its trend is becoming lower as time passes, possibly reducing our target market and the potential customers in the future.

Immigration and Emigration rates

Nowadays, Colombia´s net migration rate is of 0.64 migrant(s)/1,000 populations (2015 est.). Basically, the net emigration is an index that measures the difference between the number of persons entering and leaving a country during the year per 1,000 persons (based on midyear population), indicating the contribution the contribution of migration to the overall level of population change. However this rate does not distinguish between economic migrants, refugees, and other types of migrants nor does it distinguish between lawful migrants and undocumented migrants. Taking into account this index, we can present two different problems for the domestic cleaning industry. In the first instance, immigration can generate unemployment, salaries can get lower, because the labor force increases, and we can affront more competition from foreign companies. In the second instance we can present a cultural problem, by the reason that foreign people arrive, having different perceptions of cleanliness, dealing with different types of foreign inside and outsidecustomers, not just Colombians.

Attitudes towards work

Studies have shown that 90% of your long term happiness and good attitude comes not from the external world, but the way your brain processes and see the world. Additionally, the 75% of success in the workplace is predicted by your positive attitudes, your optimism levels, social support and your ability to see stress not as a threat instead as a challenge that will help you to get expertise, increase your productivity levels and be successful ( by the way you behave and react towards the world). On the other hand, bad attitudes reduces creativity, increases internal competition (among employees), decreases productivity and doesn´t allow you to rise your expertise and social values, because they see objectives as a source of stress and threat, not as an opportunity to become successful.

Racial equality

Racial equality is the belief that individuals, regardless of their racial characteristics, are morally, politically, and legally equal and should be treated as such

Colombia counts with approximately 4 to 5 different ethnic groups within its territory, counting with Meztizos, Whites, Afro-Colombian, Amerindian, Roma and unspecified races. Nowadays, Colombia and mostly Bogota is trying to reduce racial discriminations with its “Bogota Humana” program, pushing forward equity, equality, tolerance and diversity of ethnic groups and recognizing all its rights as Colombian citizens by the light of the constitution and the state. Our company is not affected with racial equality, every single employee takes care of other no matter its racial or ethnic orientation, taking care andhelping our customers and employees as a family.

Attitudes towards product or service quality

The possible behavior an attitude of customers about the performance and perceived quality of the service.

In the contemporary world it´s pretty difficult to understand customers perception of what is quality for them, since quality a subjective concept, for some people focusing on the quality of a specific characteristics is the clue on a service or productis the clue, for others is providing just what the customer expects on the product or service,its meaning varies from just to accomplish the systematic implicit and explicit specifications and requirements to satisfy the needs and wants of the customer to going further and delighting the customer and giving more than the customer expected on the product. As a matter of fact, managing different perceptions about quality and about what customers wants is significantly complicated for every business within the industry. However, we are committed to lean service principles and the six sigma methodology in order to provide the most objective concept of quality for every single customer.

Population changes by city, state, region and country

Currently Colombia presents a total population of 48.32 million of people. Currently, the departments that have the biggest population in Colombia are Bogotá with 7´878.783, Antioquia with 6´456.299 and Valle Del Cauca with 4´613.684. As a matter of fact these departments have a huge population in contrast with the others, because life expectance, quality life and better opportunities are found in these cities, with more professional jobs, better infrastructure, life expectancy and betterhealth insurance.

Currently, Colombian citizens are migrating mostly to urban areas, seeking a better quality life and better opportunities and a better well-being, also groups outside the law are displacing people, arriving to urban zones looking for safety and a new life. People migrating to urban zones create benefits to our firm; because our target market increases as the number of people arriving into urban zones is growing and demanding more our housekeeping service, likewise the potential customer markets that our company will attempt in the future.

Waste management

According to Colombian environmental regulations, the law 1258 of 2008 established by the Ministry of environment, forces all Colombian citizens within the territory, to take care of the environment and use the appropriate recycling and cleaning methods to help and promote for environmental health, applying a sanction known as the “environmental sanction” to every single natural person who doesn´t take care of the environment and promote its well-being. Besides Bogota's government has developed and fomented a environmental program called “ Basura cero”, its objective is to reduce solid waste, without being incinerated , but just taking good advantage of them and returning 100% of them to its product cycle, it also tries to promote and incentive people to protect the environment and develop an environmental care culture in every single citizen. Colombian regulations generates many benefits to the industry, because it allows our company to be more recognized as a high quality standard company, gaining more demand of our service, because one of our objectives is to take care of our environment like one of us, implementing the correct tools and techniques in the development of the service specially in eliminating garbage in the safeties possible way; moreover, promote a environmental culture.

Lifestyles

Colombia is a country full of diversity, different cultures and a combination of a rich and incredible native heritage. Normally high population areas are identified in big urban areas such as Bogota, Medellín, Cali and Cartagena, since they count with high recognized schools and colleges equipped with high technology, the best medical facilities in the whole country, high quality health insurance and other different type of insurance and basically a better quality life for citizens.

Colombian citizens are really tough, intelligent and entrepreneur people, since they don´t give up easily to life challenges and difficulties. On the other hand, citizens are considered hard workers (the ones who work), working in may jobs such as lawyers, journalist, teachers, waiters, doctors, among others. The presence of hard working people increases the whole industry market, because hard working people don´t have the time to clean their houses by themselves, so the demand of our service increases.

NUMBER OF BIRTHS

By the 2013, in Colombia there was born 649,742 children, where of them, there was 333,299 men and 316,443 women, seen the graph we can see that there decreasing the number of births.

We can use this statistics to know that the mothers are less by the time, and by the way they are going to use less the housekeepers services.

SEX ROLES

Nowadays the inequality of sexes in Colombia has diminished considerably, according to the article of the magazine Portfolio indicates that due to the demographic changes, nowadays a woman's shortage of agreement exists with the update of information done by the office of the census of the close conditions. ATTITUDES TOWARD RETIREMENT

Actually the men retirement at 62 years, and the women at 57 years, this affect us because, this people stay more time in their hoses and they probably will need more services in their houses.

ENERGY CONSERVATION

This can benefit our enterprise because, having a person all the days in the houses can affect the consumption of energy in the homes, while hiring the services two days a week will be more ecological and cheaper.

Without doubts society, its culture ad environmental conditions are continually changing, having a mayor impact on literally all organizational products, market and customers, been afected by forces like childbearing rates, attitutes towards work and product,lifestyles, among others.

RECYCLING

According to an article in El Tiempo. recycling occupies fourth place in the interest of the citizens, about 8 of 10 households in the capital believe that it is time to punish people who do not make adequate use of resources such as water and electricity, as the National Environmental Survey 2015 showed. in addition 91% of the people consider necessary to recycle garbage and divide it. This shows that there is growing awareness of the environmental impact that is currently generating and we as a company have to help clean the environment, as all our processes involve the use or management of natural resources and waste.

ATTITUDES TOWARD LEISURE TIME

According to survey results DANE use of free time Colombian is divided between men and women. There is evidence that women tend to spend more time with different things to paid work. Compared to men women have less than four hours difference with women engaged in unpaid work. Therefore, us as a cleaning company can reduce these rates of women, providing support for housekeeping, which will give women the opportunity to do activities other than the domestic.

ATTITUDES TOWARD INVESTING

In a report of the magazine Portfolio about a study by Nielsen in 56 countries worldwide, of how people make decisions to invest, reveals that the Colombians are based in their intuition when it comes to investing, so Colombia often is classified as impulsive in the financial part, but also shows that Colombians has a modern attitude when it comes to investing, because they are able to take risks and accept the consequences.

The number of people entering and leaving a specific country.

Number of marriages

10,300 civil marriages were registered in Bogota notaries in the previous year. Colombia is the fastest growing country in cohabitation between couples (35%) and marriage decreases (19%) Colombia is the second country in the world with the highest rate of cohabiting couples, with 35%, second only to Peru which is 38% and Nicaragua with 30% of people cohabiting.

The Latin American citizens who less undertake to marry, are Colombians (only 20% of adult couples choose marriage as a life choice). Between 50 and 75% of people between 18 and 49 years in the world live in free union.

This rates may not affect us, due to the fact that people who live in free union own a house and they cohabit there, so there will be always an opportunity to work for them as a service organization.

Average level of education

The total literate population in Colombia is 93,6%, male: 93,5% and female 93,7%. (People age 15 and over can read and write).

The level of education in Colombia has increased through the years, but it is important for young people to reach a higher education level, not just middle school, which is the common level of education for Colombian population.

Service organizations need employees who are capable of working effectively using their knowledge to create value in the service they are giving to the stakeholders.

The environment of inner cities can represent whether opportunities or threats to the service industry, many people who live in inner cities are facing to situations like air pollution, industrial sites, waste dumping, poor safety of water, less urban green space, climate change, among others.

Services can help the communities who are living in the previous conditions, but there will always be a risk due to the external factors that can not be controlled.

We can clearly analyze that in all industries social security comes mandatory for all employees in any industry explained in Law 100 of 1993 which says that every employee should have full coverage for any risk in their working time or this justified action work . This in order to offer all kinds of security and tranquility at the same time employee .
We as a company will be required to cover 100% of any incident occurring with the employee during working time . If these types of parameters are not met at any time we are vulnerable to a lawsuit and instead it will affect not only our quality of service rather also our reputation with our customers. It is our duty to ensure that both the client and the employee feel secure against any risk during their work.

Traffic Congestion

We know that Bogota is under the regulation of the time limitations which corresponds to the days of the week Monday-Friday private cars will be limited to use during 6: 30-8: 30 and 3: 00-7: 30 depending on the day if it is odd or even. Today the car with white plates are not under any limitation for use during any day of the week. More as we can see "El Tiempo" announced that the Mobility Department is planning it is to apply the system of time limitation for these vehicles of special service due to congestion to which we are facing at this time, making the life of every citizen and company negative in terms of productivity ..For us as a company and our industry a set of these integrated into our vehicles to offer the type of cleaning at home, it is affecting not only our job offer at any time of the day but also the ease of reaching any point in our work area. As we can analyze the table in a large percentage of vehicles deployed at week they correspond to working vehicles. For all industries that have a vehicle with white plates they are waiting that will take action against this type of traffic congestion in the city located at this time.

Use Of Birth Control

Colombia is seeking not implement a type of birth control under political , if not looking make through advertising and the availability of programs pregnancy, decides to maintain a population of caution when deciding to have a child or not . In 2005 the national total of mothers having children spent an average of 2.48 which with the passing of the years has been declining. At this time the Chocó and Amazon are the areas which are currently the highest number of children per mother average due to economic resources with an index of 4.0 in average per mother.

Our industry and our company in particular is negatively and positively affected to such figures . If families who decide to have a larger number of children which have the financial resources , this implies greater use of our services and a lot more continuity but on the other hand, if this number increases with the passing of time and availability economic to purchase our services , we will be a very exclusive service which few people would be willing to pay for taking us to a possible crisis.

Today companies are focused on providing a service type not only the Core Business more also provide a type of quality when it comes to giving and receiving any client information. For many companies this type of service has generated a great importance due to customer happiness when interacting with companies. Quality Control Control Happiness, offers products ... All such controls lead to the customer feel satisfaction with the company.

Customer attitudes of the companies not only based on controls , but also in achieving target customers more relevant than others without forgetting the other customers fewer and much less provide worse service to them .

This kind of general questions are of great importance for companies because these responses are achieved for studies on what will be the next move of the company.

For us as a company we need to focus on a call control for households making the sample and expressed customer 100 % satisfaction with our services. In the country , Bogota is the largest number of people attending church at the time . This in look comes from the hand with the number of tithes and churches creciemiento annually. Each time more people in Colombia attend church .Colombia currently has 98% of Christians .Nevertheless, the number of churches does not affect our industry.

Number of divorces

Latin American countries are among the nations with fewer divorces. Chile is in last place with a rate of 3%, Guatemala and Colombia with 5 at a rate of 9%. This was revealed by a study by the Business Insider. (TIEMPO, 2014) This affects our business because if this affects our trading because if in families with children their parents get divorce and the same amount of money will not be taken to pay someone to help with the cleanup so do not take the service.

Per capita income

Per capita income is an important variable due to the fact that according to these statistic we will know how many money people is receiving and apart from this and looking at other variables such as inflation rates or GDP we will know how many of these income people will invest on the industry.

Average disposable income

GNI per capita (formerly per capita GDP) is gross national income converted to US dollars using the World Bank Atlas method, divided by the midyear population. This Affects our industry in the way if people don’t earn to much money they can not be allow to spend in the service we provide.

Attitudes toward saving

Because our culture people don’t save money , that affects us because if someone have problems with money and they have already contract our services it could be a customer lose for us.
